Electronics : TomTom ONE XL Carry Case & StrapRating: - want the latest satnav?heres how to get for a fiverChristmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for a fiver. Go to satnavs.consolegifts.net and sign up. Complete ONE offer- I would recommend Gala Bingo (you know, the one Sharon Osborne advertises for on tv),as this is cheap and fun (and you might win some money in the process!). If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial. All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my Ipod, satnav and wii this way, so don't miss out. I was sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. BBC approved this system on their Newsnight programme a while back. many different items/models to choose from They send your gift Free of charge Enjoy! Rating: - Expensive for what you get!I would advise anyone who has a Tom Tom One XL to go out and buy a nice case in Asda or Tesco to protect their Satnav. This case might be nice with the XL logo on the front, but it does not give ultimate protection more than any other case would at half the cost. You can buy a leather case at that price, which I have done. It definitely needs protection from scratches and falls but be clever and get yourself a normal case even from Dixons otherwise for the same protection, you will be paying megabucks to advertise free for Tom Tom One XL! Rating: - Average but expensiveI'm sorry, but I have to agree in part with JJ Moore. "Tomtom one XL" is plastered across the front of the case so that if anyone was in any doubt about what's in the case, they need wonder no longer. It would be a lot less conspicuous in an unmarked bag or case. Apart from that, I cannot understand for the life of me how this One XL carry case can retail at £18 (its price when I bought it). I believe that if the black fabric covering was stripped away, a simple cardboard case would be revealed. It looks nice I admit, but it feels cheap and weighs nothing when you pick it up. It probably cost less than a quid to manufacture somewhere in the far east, and we are being ripped off to the tune of £18 - for a cardboard box in a fancy costume. Unfortunately, I bought mine before I knew all this, but if I could turn back the clock I would find an alternative. I recommend that you do the same. Rating: - Why buy this itemIf the idea of removing the unit from the car is to deter theft then carrying it with TomTom Xl branded on the case is just saying "Oh look I am carrying a Satnav please mug me" A plain case is enough to protect it. John Moore Rating: - Very NiceYep, a very nice case will an `expensive` feel to it, the Tom Tom fits perfectly into it and keeps it looking like new, if you`ve got an XL, you need one of these. |
