Electronics : XFX nVidia GF 6200A, 256MB VGA and DVI, Ultra Silent Cooling, Graphics CardRating: - A Bargain Card, If you use drivers 84.21 from 2006.This is a HD ready card, and HD players are over £300. So you can cheaply watch HD movies with this card. However, it only works properly with driver 84.21 from 2006. At first, you might think.. well I don't want it then, but driver upgrades after 2006 were mainly for the NVidia 7000 series, so you don't really lose anything by using old drivers. I recommend this card as a bargain, just get the old drivers, it makes no difference. Rating: - Nvidia GeForce 6200A (256MB)Ah...Well. Here we have the wonderfull GeForce 6200A. With full suport for DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3 i would say this is the perfect low spec "bag-a-bargain" card. Available in both AGP 8x and PCI-E. This offers full support for all motherboards. Ok so lets check out the specs... Powered by NVIDIA's GeForce 6200A GPU 128MB/256MB DDR/2 Memory AGP 8X Interface Support Microsoft DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 Support OpenGL 1.5 Optimizations and Support Revolutionary Superscalar Architecture NVIDIA CineFX 3.0 Engine NVIDIA UltraShadow II Technology NVIDIA Intellisample 3.0 Technology Full-Speed 32-Bit Color Precision Adaptable Programmable Video Processor High-Definition MPEG-2 and WMV Hardware Acceleration Advanced Motion Adaptive De-Interlacing delivers a crisp, clear video and DVD playback Video Scaling and Filtering NVIDIA ForceWare Unified Driver Architecture (UDA) NVIDIA Digital Vibrance Control 3.0 Technology NVIDIA Multi-Display Technology Integrated HDTV Encoder supports up to 1920x1080i resolutions Integrated NTSC & PAL TV Encoder supports up to 1028x768 resolutions Single-link DVI output up to 1900x1200 resolution Dual 400MHz RAMDACs supports dual QXGA displays up to 2048x1536@85Hz. I'd say the 128MB version runs very smoothly but either 128 or 256 would do. A short review but sum it all up. THE NVIDIA GEFORCE IS DEFINATLY THE BEST LOW END CARD OUT THERE. page 1 of 1
