Electronics : Logitech Wireless Music System for ipod & MP3 PlayersRating: - at last !!!! a way to play your music that worksBefore buying this I had tried a couple of music streaming systems from my PC to my stereo and at best they were ok but at times it drove me mad if the wireless signal dropped etc. Then I saw this. You just plug in the receiver to your stereo, plug the little white box into your MP3 headphone jack and you are then controlling you music collection on your Hifi with your I POD. I can't speak more highly of this in that it totally changes the way you listen to music. I have an I pod classic and have stored my entire music collection on it. My CD's are all packed away safely cos you don't need them any more. Give it a few more years and CD's will be athing of the past. If you want hassle free listening of you entire music collection at the drop of a hat this is the gadget for you. Rating:  - Unchain yourself from your hi-fi!Great! I can now use my MP3 player as a mobile music server, watch movies on my laptop, but with decent sound coming from my main 'speakers or even dig out my old cassette walkman or shortwave radio, without anything needing to be physically connected to my amplifier. Setting it up was very simple and went exactly as the manual said it would, which is, in itself, quite a novelty in my experience. The sound quality's okay - the treble's a tiny bit harsh and 'digital' and the really deep bass is a bit light, but for casual listening, it is quite decent. Rating: - Everything should be this easy . . . .This is a must have bit of kit, for anyone with a large capacity MP3 player. I use this with my IPOD 60Gig colour, and have all my CD collection on it. I used to have about a dozen favourite CD's under the stereo, but now I listen to a much wider range of my music collection, because its just so easy and quick (no streaming delay, like on some other bits of kit). Only drawback is that one transmitter will only feed one receiver at a time (I think ?) - but other than that, having your IPOD as your total music remote control makes buying this is a 'no brainer' . . . Rating: - Does what it says on the box...Received my new toy today, and it is simplicity itself to set up and connect to your hi-fi system. The sound is truly digital quality, and to me, sounds as good as the original CD. I'm so impressed I'm now considering getting another receiver for the hi-fi in the dining room. With a beefy 20Gb or 40Gb MP3 player, you could almost consider putting your original CD's away after you've recorded them. This item is priced at £99 on the Logitech Home site, so the Amazon price represents a considerable saving. Only one very minor issue - hence the 4 rather than 5 stars - the little white button on the transmitter unit (it switches the unit on) is quite hard to press. Other than that, an amazing piece of kit. Well pleased. |
