 Rating:  - Over ratedA classic and hugely successful film of the British film industry, and quite rightly so, but in my opinion over rated. It is a story of frustrated and unobtainable love and is a genuine weepy, and Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard are on top of their game in this one. Sadly some of the long heart rending and hand wringing dialogue between the two leads is tortuous and tiresome, and people just don't talk like that in the real world, not even in 30's and 40's Britain, except in films. ... Rating:  - Simple story of forbidden loveA simple tale of two strangers meeting in a railway station falling in love but who can never take it any further. Some of the cinematography is beautifully done; the reflections from the train windows, the merging of the story being told in the past to the present when the narrative fades, and the symbolism of the speeding trains through the station can stand up to anything done today. I ordered the product on late on a Sunday night and it was delivered to me here in Israel on Thursday afternoon. That is excellent service.
