The bottom of this one is coated to make it glide easily which was not true with earlier irons. The turbo steam is really fierce which I think is a good thing. My feelings are consistent with those expressed by Which? magazine when they rated it a Best Buy. To quote: "results are excellent...ready to iron denim in 45 seconds...heavy but the weight is reassuring and you won't need to press down...glides well...easy to fill".
