![]() Rating: - Vast improvement on my old scannerI really wanted a new scanner that could produce excellent results with my huge store of SLR negatives at a reasonably quick speed. I've had Canon cameras for 30 years and when I made the switch to digital SLR about 7 years ago I decided to invest in a Canon LiDE 500F shortly afterwards to start scanning my negatives to convert the thousands of old photos to digital format. I've now reached the stage where I'm about halfway through this mammoth project and decided that my time is too precious to ... After reading many reviews I went for the Epson Perfection V500. As it is my first negative scanner I have nothing to compare it with but what I can say that installation is simple as is working how to use it. I've scanned around 250 negatives and it is definately easier and much quicker to use it in Automatic mode. I think the quality of the scans is quite good. Using the HOME or PROFESSIONAL mode is a bit more ... Read More Rating: - Epson Perfection V500 Photo - A Flawed GemI am delighted with the scanning performance of my new Epson Perfection V500 Photo, which to date I have been using mostly to scan 35mm colour negative film and black and white 120 negative film. The results are much crisper than the Epson Perfection 2400 Photo and far less noisy than the Minolta Dimage Scan Dual 111 that I used previously. Regrettably that is not the whole story. The Professional Mode of the Epson Scan software needs further development for use when scanning negatives. ... Read More Browse for similar items by category: Click to Display
