![]() Rating: - Excellent!Epson Perfection V200 Photo A4 4800X9600 DPI 35MM TPU For the price this scanner is unbeatable. At the moment I have been using it to scan the family's collection of slides since the year dot. So far results have been faultless. Normal scanning is good too. Software is typical epson & a little querky, but it's no problem & still very useable. Would recommend this scanner to anyone who wants great results without spending a fortune. Rating: - Poor Quality ControlI'm sure the product works well but I have to give bad marks because my scanner arrived with a whole load of grubby marks on the underside of the scanning surface. This obviously rendered the whole thing useless and I had no choice but to return it, how did it leave the factory in this state? Sadly that was discovered after I installed the software, I only chose half the installation options but still had to uninstall seven programs individually! Why do they insist on bundling so much ... Downsides? Well, the scanner is pretty solidly built but the slide / film holder ... It seems to work near miracles with most of them - especially the faded, or burnt out ones - which was a pleasant surprise, as I've never seen some of these images as clearly before. It's particularly good at automatically recolouring very old slides. I use the professional mode, which allows you to select the dpi, the compression and also has options ... Read More Rating: - Excellent product, especially for the priceI purchased this product mainly to scan old photographs and slides into a PC for safe archiving and so we could see them without having to fetch them all from the attic. It is, for the price, an amazing piece of kit. File size is not an issue. Colour prints and slides are being scanned in at a typical size of 400kb to 1.5Mb depending on the resolution you select. The default of 300dpi seems adequate for most pictures. Some I have scanned in at up to 600 dpi to get a better result. The ... Read More Browse for similar items by category:
