- DISAPPOINTING
Initially had to take this monitor back as the two monitors (parent and baby) were failing to link to one another. Got a replacement and neither the sound alert or the vibrate alert work. Tried everything and was recommended to return it ! I am going to and this time will buy a different product that hopefully works.

I bought this item about 4 months ago after giving up on the Tomy Platinum after having two Tomy units that broke over 18 months (if you're deciding between this and the Tomy do read my review on that item).

I was a little reluctant to buy a product that BT have stuck their name on as the BT brand just means 'mediocre' to me but I'm glad I overcame my irrational brand prejudice as this item is just BRILLIANT. On the upside the monitor has excellent sound when you are listening out for babys cries from the other room. On the downside you cant read the temperature unless you are about a millimetre away because the screen is so dark.The nightlight doesnt really light anything up. Also when you speak from the other room through the monitor it sounds monstrously mechanical (although this is a small point and Im sure they are all like that). Hope this helps.

Bought this for our new baby and am really impressed. Compact, clear, easy to use has a light and plays melodies. Cheaper than everywhere else. What more can you ask for?

Have just bought this for our 10 month old and I think it's fab - the lullabies are lovely and having the ability to play them, turn the light on or talk back to baby via the parent unit is so useful. The lights on the top are great for catching your eye and it's really good to know the temperature both in the nursery and on parent unit.
