It is true that the motor is strong and the cooling effect is better than one would expect for the size. But it is the strength of the motor which is one of the problems. This fan has some design issues. Firstly, this fan is loud, really loud. When used on a desktop it is as loud as a normal sized desk fan. Read More Rating: - The best of the "portable mini" rangeThis is the second portable fan I've bought. It is very compact with no breakable parts and is very effective. I only ever use mine in the "flat" position to hold up to my face and neck, but it can be positioned on a table so that the fan part is manoeuvred upwards, or worn around the neck. Its fan is far more effectively cooling than the other portable type with the rotary arms, which clip down when not in use, with the added bonus of not being breakable like the "clipaway arms". ...
