 Rating: - Excellent piece of kitAlthough this is marketed as a laptop drive, I actually wanted it for my new Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop, which like most current machines do not ship with a floppy drive. I placed my order mid-afternoon on a Wednesday, received an email to the effect that my order had shipped two hours later. Standard shipping was given as Royal Mail 3-5 working days. Read More Rating: - floppy driveThis is a good bit of kit. I just plugged it in and it loaded its drivers and that was that. My laptop runs vista and every thing is fine. Cant fault it at all. Rating: - An excellent productI have Windows Vista Home Premium on an Asus laptop, and the USB FDD works very well, although it took a couple of reboots before Windows installed the driver. A neat piece of kit for only £11.99 (Amazon advertise it for £6.99 but the reseller charges a fiver for postage - be warned!). Rating: - Great little box of tricksI still use floppy discs with my midi kit, so this usb external drive was a must. It is a compact unit and using it was quite literally a plug and play process. I'm running XP sp2 on a HP laptop. The drive self installed and in just a few seconds there was a floppy drive icon in the My Computer window and it was ready to go.
