This is a brilliant machine in all respects and to all the mac haters, there just indenial becuase most of the people who hate mac only use a pc for games, a mac is the superior in every way, and yes it may be pricy but your paying for quality and you will get at least 5years joy with no upgrades, unlike a pc which requires an uodate every few years, and the icing on the cake is, mac WILL work with windows vista just in case u need it. The perfect home computer, ohh did i mention macs dont get virues ... Read More

Get real, it may look nice but you're better off buying a decent PC for half the price, getting the benefit of a vast range of software, being able to customise your case and not be tied into propietary hardware. As for the O/S, VISTA is as comprehensive and better looking too. Don't listen to the hype and biased adverts.

I recently took the plunge and bought this beautiful machine. Like one of the other reviewers I also purchased parallels and an OEM version of XP to create two fantastic computers. It is fast, rock solid stable (It hasn't crashed once) and I've also made it wireless using a netgear router. The whole experience is fantastic. Friends have come round and after saying 'Wow, how big is that screen?' 'Is that it?' they say. It really is a thing of beauty, as most apple products are.

Well let's see... It looks wonderful, so good that it qualifies for some sort of design award with the 24" screen reducing the relative size of the surrounding white bezel that houses the necessary hardware so that everything looks perfectly in proportion. Setting it up for home use is a dream - the box comes with just 4 items: computer/screen, keyboard, mouse and power plug (plus a tiny remote control) - you plug it in and within minutes you're there with very high quality photo, video editing, DVD authoring, ... I wanted a nice looking PC to sit on the desk with few cables and something that `just works'. I was going to opt for the nice looking Sony LA2 Vista, but during the wait for it to come with Vista, I decided to look into buying a Mac. Good job I did, for the price of the Sony, you can get a better spec iMac and as for the operating system, it is fab. Forget windows XP or even Vista, OSX is slicker and better in every way. I have had it for a few weeks now and its never crashed. OSX comes with most apps you need, ... Read More
