Introduction To Plugin Examples

Welcome to the demo pages for the plugin (mambot) that works alongside the Amazon Products Feed Bridge Joomla Component.

Conventions used throughout these examples

Mambots are now called plugins

Firstly - I will be using the term plugin rather than mambot. For those that are not aware of the upcoming changes in Joomla allow me to inform you that when Joomla 1.5 is released (expected Q4 2006 ish) the term mambot - with its 'mambo' legacy will be expunged from the vocabulary. The same functionality remains - it is just that now they are called plugins.

Square brackets for demo - curly braces for real

It is impossible to show you the exact code of a plugin - if I include the curly braces (aka curly brackets) Joomla will try and process the contents as a plugin. Therefor throughout these demo pages I will following the convention I will use square brackets to show you the commands I am using. To actually work curly braces MUST be used.
