APF Bridge Demo And Development Site

Firstly may I congratulate you Dean on creating and maintaining a component and site that gives the user a sense of friendlyness and enthusiasm.

Now onto my problem, I have downloaded the mosAPF_button.zip mambot, but when I come to install it I get 2 errors which are pasted below:

now tbh they mean very little to me, so could someone shed some light on them and howto fix them? I have the other bot and component working I think, although the TinyMCE keeps messing my code, so I'm not seeing anything when I put the mobot code in, and I can't afford to buy WYSIWYG Pro atm.

As the error message says

This line of code was running:
/home/vision/public_html/administrator/components/com_installer/installer.class.php on line 360

and it tried to copy a file to:
copy(/home/vision/public_html/mambots/editors-xtd/mosAPF.btn.php)

but got a permissions problem - the server wouldn't let it write the file into this folder:
/home/vision/public_html/mambots/editors-xtd/

So if you take your ftp application and navigate to the /mambots/ folder. Then right click on the /editors-xtd/ sub-folder and click 'properties' or 'chmod' and increase the permissions. You may need to make the third digit a 7 (read,write,execute) temporarily whilst you re-run the installer. Upon success I would recommend turning the permissions back down to 755.

lol - generally I'm a night-owl, although I am off for an early night tonight.

Glad we got passed the permissions issue - don't forget to put them back to their original state though.

Now for the wysiwyg editor - some of them, and I can't remember which (maybe we should compile a list) strip out unexpected or 'dangerous' html. The option is usually tucked away in 'mambots' -> 'site mambots' -> <click on your editor in the list>
The 'code cleanup' option is over on the right usually.

You may still experience a weird issue where the editor strips out the quotes or replaces them with with " thus breaking the parsing of the plugin commands.

I must grab the next person who has that issue - to help me come up with a workaround - or to document and present the wysiwyg editor developer.

Anyway - I'm rambling - let me know how it goes from here on in.
