- Maybe not the best faraway tree bookI absolutely loved these books when I was a child, so when I had a baby daughter I couldn`t wait to buy them for her. She`s a bit too young to understand what I`m reading to her at the moment so I can`t tell you if she enjoys the stories but when I did read it to her I was a tiny bit disappointed that it didn`t seem quite as good as I remembered, but then things never do, do they! And it might be the fact that I am grown-up now too(apparently). I`m sure children will enjoy it. Anyway, I am going to buy the other Faraway Tree stories because I think they may be better. I apologise, this turned out to be a pretty unhelpful review but I`m not deleting it all now so you`re stuck with it!

- UnfinishedThese editions of the faraway tree stories are extremely rough. Jill Newton's drawings actually detract from the atmosphere (strange because her illustrations in other books are lovely - I get the impression she was asked for a set of rough sketches then they went ahead to production without paying her for production-quality illustrations). Continuity errors abound. Fanny is called Frannie in most of the book and Fanny on the back cover, characters trip over their beards in the story who are illustrated beardless. Characters are specifically described as wearing particular dress then illustrated without. The cover art seems to be from two different artists too. Please spend a little more and find a version that allows you to get into the atmosphere unjarred by poor production values.

- the Faraway treeThere must be some kind of mistake with the three new books, The books are not 416 pages as indicated, but under 200. Still the stories are the same. But no extra illustrations as I had hoped.

- Long time reader of BlytonI read these books as a child growing up and I regretted not holding on to them. I am going to buy all of them to read again and give to my kids.

- Climb the faraway tree and discover magical landsThis book is exciting, magical and enchanting.I would recomend it 2 everyone even my mum enjoyed it.This book is about joe ,beth and frannie. There cousin comes 2 stop with them 4 a while there cousin is called connie and is very snooty.Connie will not believe that there is a faraway tree in the wood at the back of the childrens house where you can climb up and be in different magical lands.Until the three children take her up it show her there special, magical friends and take her on lots of brilliant adventures in different lands up the tree. They visit the mysterious land of secrets, the land of giants, the land of tea parties, the land of enchantments the land of treats and lots of other exciting magical lands. You have as much fun reading it as they do in there adventures.you can almost taste the food they eat in the land of treats.
i would be here all day saying how good this book is.It is excellent a great book to read.
