- I'm not proud. I needed help. I found it here.Last summer, I bought a new laptop with Windows Vista. Although I was able to fumble out transfering files back and forth with my desktop that was still on XP, I became highly frustrated by the new interface in the MSWord program. Very simple things had been made hard to find, I felt.
My pleasure in my new machine was gravely hampered until I bought this book at my local brick and mortar bookstore, paying more for it than I had to--but it turned out to be worth the money. I easily found the section I needed from the table of contents and in five minutes, armed with an understanding of how the software worked, I was able to do everything I could do before. - Vista by the NumbersCompared to the old Windows XP Home Bestseller Edition (Que) encyclopaedic treatment, this Vista tutorial is superb. It is clear, but does not not insult one's intelligence. I was able to start at Page 1 and absorb knowledge, and RETAIN it, as I studied, or sometimes scanned, my way through.

- Not worth itI purchased this book to learn my way around Vista. I didn't think it was worth the money. It was more like a Welcome to Windows beginner book. I haven't found anything on here that has been helpful in my Vista experience. Much easier to just research online....

- Windows Vista for DummiesWindows Vista for Dummies is just what I needed to allow me to, "step by step" transfer from my old program to my new computer... I am not dumb but I do enjoy following instructions, step-by-step, written with a little humor...
Thanks,
