New Version of APF Bridge Joomla Component

Last week I released an update to the Amazon Products Feed Joomla component. The component which installs up to six Amazon stores into your Joomla powered site has been given a few improvements

The improvements are mainly to try and correct configuration problems caused by users not editing the APF templates. Additionally I have improved the handling of some of the style and script tags that MrRat inserts into his APF script's output. There is also a nice new (still experimental) feature that helps users who can't switch their template to utf-8. For some character sets switching to utf-8 causes garbled characters - but Amazon's feeds are utf-8. The new feature seems to help.

I didn't rush to publish the release too widely - despite it being an upgrade to Release Candidate status - almost ready for calling a full stable version one release. My hesitancy was caused by a few issues my end - mainly version control. I appear to have made some edits - lost them - and then had to try re-applying the edits all over again from memory. I wasn't sure how well the new version would hold up so I didn't push it too wide

I have now received feedback from a number of people who are happy with the new features so it is time to spread the news a little more widely.

Head on over to my Amazon Products Feed Bridge site for more details and the download.
