- So glad it's not just me...
I've just finally managed to finish reading this book and was so frustrated with myself for wasting so much time on what was nothing more that a torturous mental exercise in perseverance. 505 pages too long, the plot could have been written on the back of a postage stamp, there was no dialogue or interaction, or action come to that. The characters make no sense the repetition was unbearable...I'm not going to waste any more time on this drivel, but I urge you not to either. One of the worst books ... Read More

Utter garbage, so reptitive, did she get paid per page? Why use one paragraph , when you can write the same thing in three para's. I am struggling to finish the book , but will ( frustratingly) persist , just so I can see if anything actually happens. Agree with previous reviewers, characters are completely unbelievable.
This is the first book I am looking to ever sell on Ebay , just so I can get some money back and not feel so ripped off by buying this piece of garbage.

Very very disappointing. Does she feel that as most of her books in the past that made her a household name give her a free ride to sales of future books? No it doesn't! I found this very repetitive and boring. I read the book in one day, skimming over the repetitive descriptions of her characters. This book could have been half the size and still boring. - Very stressful and irritating
Please please do NOT waste your money on this book! I have read every Martina Cole book and I have never been so frustrated in all my life. I have never skipped pages and I am three quarters of the way through it and don't even want to finish it. We all know Imelda is a bad person but how many times has Martina got to tell u! Is she so stuck for a story line that everything has to be explained over and over again? I'm sure if you go to any charity shop, there will be dozens!

- VERY DISAPPOINTED
I bought the book a while ago and saved it to read whilst on holiday over Christmas. How disappointing, there was no real story line and everything that happened was very predictable. I have loved all of the earlier books of Martina, and have read them at least 5 times each but don't think I will bother with this one.
